Österreichische NACE (ÖNACE) is the national activity classification used in AT. Businesses receive one or more ÖNACE codes when they register, and those codes drive tax, statistical and regulatory reporting.

ÖNACE is aligned with NACE Rev. 2.1 at the 4-digit class level. National extensions add extra digits to describe activities in more detail without breaking comparability with the rest of the EU.
