CAEN

Clasificarea Activităților din Economia Națională (CAEN) is the national activity classification used in RO. Businesses receive one or more CAEN codes when they register, and those codes drive tax, statistical and regulatory reporting.

CAEN is aligned with NACE Rev. 2.1 at the 4-digit class level. National extensions add extra digits to describe activities in more detail without breaking comparability with the rest of the EU.
