NAFNACE

NAF ↔ NACE mapping

Convert a French NAF code to its European NACE equivalent (or back). The first 4 digits match the NACE class; the final letter is French-specific.

NAF rev. 2.1 (INSEE) and NACE Rev. 2.1 (Eurostat) share the same structure. Every NAF code (e.g. 6201Z) is a subset of a NACE class (e.g. 62.01).

This converter gives you the parent NACE class for any NAF code, together with the matching group, division and section.

Going further, convert your NAF to the equivalent in another European country (WZ, CNAE, CAE…).

FAQ

Is a NAF code the same as a NACE code?
Almost. The 4 digits are identical; NAF adds a letter for a national detail level. NACE 62.01 → NAF 6201Z, for example.
How do I find the NACE class for my NAF?
Take the first 4 digits of the NAF and insert a dot after the second (6201Z → 62.01). That's your NACE class.
