CAE — Portuguese Classification of Economic Activities
Look up the CAE code for any economic activity in Portugal, see what it means and convert it to European NACE or to the equivalent in other EU countries.
CAE (Classificação Portuguesa das Atividades Económicas) is Portugal's official nomenclature, maintained by INE, identifying each economic activity with a 5-digit code aligned with the European NACE.
With NACEBridge you can decode a CAE code, see its division and section, and convert it to equivalents in other countries (French NAF, German WZ, Spanish CNAE…).
The current version is CAE Rev. 4 (2025), aligned with NACE Rev. 2.1. All data comes from official sources.
