Branchen omfatter bl.a. levering af cloudinfrastruktur og platforme (IaaS, PaaS mv.), udlejning af server- og networkingplads på datacentre og blockchain/distributed ledger-teknologi (DLT) samt databehandlingsaktiviteter. Branchen omfatter desuden behandling af data (leveret af kunder), hostingaktiviteter (fx applikationshosting) mv. KLASSIFIKATIONSREGEL: Aktiviteter, for hvilke computere kun anvendes som et værktøj, klassificeres efter arten af de leverede tjenester.

EMTAK 2025 er aktivitetsklassifikationen, der bruges i Estonia. DB07 er det ækvivalente system i Denmark. Begge er nationale implementeringer af EU NACE Rev 2.1, så enhver 5-cifret underklasse i ét system kan spores tilbage til en fælles 4-cifret EU-klasse — og derfra videre ind i det andet lands underklasser.
