Compreende as atividades de: recolha, preparação e conservação de sementes de espécies florestais e de outro material florestal de reprodução; exploração de viveiros florestais; operações de sementeira e plantação; operações de condução de povoamentos florestais (ex: limpezas, desbastes e desramações); e de ordenamento florestal. Estas atividades podem ser levadas a cabo em florestas naturais ou plantadas.
