Compreende todas as unidades de produção com culturas agrícolas e animais combinadas, se qualquer uma das produções, agrícolas ou criação de animais, numa determinada unidade for inferior a 66% da produção padrão. As unidades em que uma das produções, agrícolas ou criação de animais seja superior a 66% da produção padrão, classificam-se nas subclasses precedentes de acordo com o critério da atividade principal.

NAF rév. 2.1 ist die in France verwendete Tätigkeitsklassifikation. CAE Rev 4 ist das entsprechende System in Portugal. Beide sind nationale Umsetzungen der EU NACE Rev 2.1, sodass jede 5-stellige Unterklasse eines Systems auf eine gemeinsame 4-stellige EU-Klasse zurückgeführt und von dort in die Unterklassen des anderen Landes übertragen werden kann.
